GENERAL CHAMBER MEETING

FEBRUARY 16, 2010

The meeting was called to order by Dave D'Avanzo.  Everyone introduced themselves.  Sherri McDowell and Lisa Maxwell told us of their plans for the Tree Planting Festival which includes a community fair on May 1, 2010.  There will be art shows and walks, high school clubs and music.  Young person's shows will benefit the elementary schools play ground equipment.  Sherri suggested the chamber have a table in the arts and craft room.  Don Hampton said Sherri has worked very hard on the project.  Gary Carl said it could be the beginning of a very good Tree Planting Festival.

Minutes were approved with the following corrections:  Gary Carl ask to see the budget and financial report.  The spelling of hostel was corrected. 

Randy should know next month about the grant he applied for.  The newsletter was sent out.  On April 19, 2010 our regular meeting will be an after hours social at the Oakridge Hostel at 7:00.

Steve Saxon suggested the window decals should have our web address on them.   The #2 decal was chosen with changing the sun to yellow.  Lane Electric volunteered to help us with the cost.

Gary Carl thinks we should have a treasury report at every meeting.  If we don't, it creates uncertainty and doubt.  By laws say we need to do it quarterly.  We will take this matter up at the next board meeting.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
